Founding Engineer

We are building a unified biomedical device testing and regulatory platform that connects every stage of product development from CAD design through simulation, bench testing, and verification to FDA Q-Submissions. Currently, engineers, scientists, and regulatory teams work in isolated tools that don't communicate, forcing manual data recreation and documentation assembly. Our platform replaces this fragmented process with a single validated environment where simulated patient anatomy, test data, and requirements are all linked and traceable. It automates verification reporting, identifies missing tests, and generates compliant submission packages automatically, cutting months off development timelines and reducing regulatory risk.

We're an all-female team based in New York and San Francisco. We're looking for a fast learner who exercises individual autonomy and has an abundance of creativity. We’re looking for a founding engineer to help build our Parva product. Parva is a mental healthcare company and provides patients with continuous cognitive care in between clinician visits. This person will build and own full-stack features across our patient and clinician products, working directly with the founder.

The ideal candidate is based in New York City or the surrounding area and is comfortable working independently across the full stack, from database design to frontend. Prior healthcare or mental health experience is not required.

• Build and ship full-stack features across our patient-facing and clinician-facing web products.
• Own features end to end, from database and API design through frontend and deployment.
• Build AI-powered features, including LLM integrations and agent-style systems.
• Design and maintain the data layer: schemas, migrations, and pipelines.
• Collaborate directly with the founder to execute the product vision.
• Fix bugs quickly and keep the product reliable and secure.
• Help set engineering standards for architecture, testing, and code quality.

• Based in New York City or able to work in-person in NYC.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills, with shipped products or projects you can show.
• Comfortable working without detailed specs and making decisions with incomplete information.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, React/Next.js, and Postgres.
• Experience building with LLM APIs.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and ship quickly.
• Comfortable taking feedback and iterating on the same feature.
• No prior healthcare or mental healthcare experience required.

• Experience as an early or founding engineer at a venture-backed startup.
• Experience with health data, provider datasets, or other regulated/sensitive data environments.
• Experience with data pipelines, behavioral or time-series data, or applied ML.

• Full-time, founding engineer role with meaningful equity.
• New York-based preferred.

Our technology stack integrates directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) for data orchestration and multimodal biomedical models for signal processing, diagnostics, and simulation. We work across layers of bioinformatics, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure, building high-fidelity physiological models and real-time monitoring tools.
