Data Operations Lead (Voice Data)

At Miso Labs, our goal is to pass the voice Turing test by training full-duplex speech-to-speech models. We've raised a large seed round from top investors, and are hiring our founding research team.

At Miso Labs, we're training full-duplex speech-to-speech models (i.e. models that can interrupt and talk over you). In order to do this, we need to collect large amounts of speech data (our current data set is over 100 million hours, or 11,000 years of audio), as well as human feedback data.

In order to do this, we have a 7000 square feet recording studio in North Hollywood, and a growing roster of voice actors recording from home studios. As we scale this data collection process, we are hiring for a founding data operations lead to manage the increasingly complex logistics of this process.

What you'll do

• Cast and build our voice talent network. Help us cast voice actors that match our current data needs.
• Run the LA studio. We have onsite staff to manage the recording and the studio itself, but you will be respondible for scheduling recording sessions at the studio.
• Scale the home-studio program. Onboard and train actors, distribute scripts, and run remote quality control.

What we're looking for

• Experience managing complex logistics.
• Attention to detail. You will be the first line of quality control on all data that we collect, and will be expected to be obsessive about data quality.

• You have an existing network of voice actors, or experience working with VO/VA Agencies

At Miso Labs, you will work on every aspect of the model training stack: from small scale architecture experiments to large pre-training runs on up to 1000 H100s.

You should expect to work mostly with PyTorch and CUDA.

The interview consists of an initial zoom screening, and then a second onsite with the whole team.
